pattern & pulse
featuring Pat zalisko & Karlene McConnell
Introducing guest artist Maria Kruschewsky
January 2 - 31, 2026
opening reception: january 9, 5:30 - 7:30 pm
Gestural and grounded, these two artists explore rhythm, repetition, and the language of intuition. Pat Zalisko brings a bold, architectural abstraction to the exhibition, layering geometric forms, collage elements, and expressive marks. Her compositions balance structure and emotion, creating visual blueprints that hint at memory, movement, and tension. Karlene McConnell offers a softer, more fluid counterpoint. Her paintings flow with organic shapes, atmospheric color, and meditative brushwork inspired by nature and movement. Each piece invites viewers to pause and feel the subtle energy within her layered surfaces. We are also delighted to welcome Maria Kruschewsky as our newest guest artist for Pattern & Pulse. Her contemporary paintings fuse bold chromatic shifts with delicate, rhythmic mark-making, creating surfaces that feel both energized and contemplative. Kruschewsky builds richly layered compositions that reveal themselves gradually. Each painting pulses with quiet intention, offering a vibrant complement to the structural precision of Zalisko and the organic fluidity of McConnell.

the language of light
featuring stacy barter & ginger oglesby
february 3 - march 13, 2026
opening reception: february 4, 5:30 - 7:30 pm
The Language of Light brings together two artists whose practices illuminate the quiet poetry of observation. In a month shaped by emotion and intimacy, Stacy Barter offers luminous florals and figurative works—paintings that breathe with tenderness, clarity, and exquisite technical finesse. Her realism captures the ephemeral: a fleeting gesture, a petal turning toward the sun, the radiance within a moment we might otherwise overlook. Ginger Oglesby expands this conversation with her expressive narrative paintings, layered with gesture, color, and deeply personal symbolism. Her compositions invite viewers into interior worlds—spaces shaped by memory, intuition, and emotional resonance. Together, Barter and Oglesby create a compelling dialogue between precision and spontaneity, between truth and interpretation. Their combined works explore how light—physical, emotional, and metaphorical—reveals the beauty that exists within the everyday.

Lorra Kurtz complements this vitality with paintings defined by fluid movement, lush palettes, and dreamlike atmospheres. Her work invites viewers into spaces where intuition leads, and where transformation is both gentle and profound. Flourish embodies the optimism of spring: alive, hopeful, and ever-evolving.

featuring Charles marklin, hai van truong, decoy abstract, ben van beusekom & russell bellamy
november 1 - 15

In this daring and timely exhibition, Summoning the Demon, five Central Florida-based artists explore the power, promise, and peril of artificial intelligence. Curated by José J. Cabrera, the show challenges viewers to confront the implications of AI not only as a creative tool, but as a force that may soon surpass human intelligence—and escape our control entirely. The work on view reflects a wide spectrum of responses to this accelerating technology: awe, anxiety, curiosity, resistance, and wonder. From generative visuals and algorithmic patterns to deeply personal reflections on what it means to be human in a machine-driven future, these artists use their work to provoke thought and ignite conversation. Inspired by Elon Musk’s warning that “with artificial intelligence, we’re summoning the demon,” the exhibition delves into the tension between innovation and consequence.

As summer’s pace gives way to the rhythms of autumn, we find ourselves drawn back together—in stadiums and concert halls, around dinner tables, in gardens, and beneath the changing sky. Let’s Gather: The Art of Coming Together celebrates these moments of connection that define the season. This exhibition reflects the many ways we reunite after the busyness of summer: the roar of a football game, the quiet grace of a ballet, the joy of live music, the abundance of a shared meal, or the simple pleasure of walking through a park on a crisp afternoon. Each gathering, whether grand or intimate, reminds us that time spent together is time best spent. Featuring the works of Heather Blanton, Holly Blanton, Lorra Kurtz and guest artist Ben Keller, the show brings together four distinctive artistic voices, each offering a perspective on togetherness, memory, and community. Through their paintings, we are invited to pause, reconnect, and savor the art of coming together.
